It looks like a very good indicator Can we use this as a stand alone indicator to look for trades? In order to become successful, first stop doing what unsuccessful people do. Guys, I found cool way to use QQE!

Posted 10 August - Posted 11 August - I have been using the QQE in some trades longer term since last year but the shorter term is a cool twist from David. I looked at the chart above and I think that this is a great combination of subjective PA on the top but not to subjective I mean we can tell the color of a candle and the use of an indicator. I could be wrong here but I think What David is getting at is to.
The flip is when a smoothed out RSI Blue line goes over or under the trailing indicator Yellow line. Think of it like fast moving average over slower because conceptually that is all there is. I tried to explain the indicator in more detail in a video a while back for those who are curious but that is basically the jest of it.
OK what happens with crosses? Sometimes they cross back and forth and people complain about repainting etc etc so how do you cope with some of that? You see a cross for an uptrend and look on the top chart and in spite of the indicator pointing up the market is going down 1 candle and then about to close on the second candle.
If the dominant momentum is factored well in the indicator then the market should turn back up so you do a call in this instance on the next 5M. Execute around the low on a call or the high on a put before that second candle closes and see what happens.
Will it work every time of course not but if this is the strategy I think it is a very sound merger of PA and indicators and basically a tool to tell pullbacks from reversals.
Great work as always David very nice to see more guys interested in this little indicator.
